Day 8 - Chest & Back

Back to the Chest & Back Routine tonight, was able to do a few more push ups and pulls ups in each set this time around (not many) but at least it wasn't a complete shock to my system.

I decided for most of the second round of the routine I would try the heavy band to see how it worked. As they say in the video if you get the correct angle and use the right band it can still be difficult to do a lot of reps and can work the muscles the same way. Obviously, it would be ideal to do real push ups the whole but I would rather maintain good form or just do a lot of them using the chair. I did need the chair in the first round to help get more reps. Hopefully, this will decrease over time.

I am going to pick up a few more plates for my dumb bells so I can vary the weight. I prefer the free weights for the lawnmower and back flies.

I am still not able to do more than a few inclined push ups... even when I try to force as hard as I can my muscles just give out one me. Especially the second time around.

Overall, I did feel a slight improvement but I think most of that is that my muscles are little more ready and conditioned for exercise. Maybe for next week I will see a slight improvement on each exercise.

Ab Ripper X was still tough to do 100% I had to tap out on a few of the exercises. My goal is to get through all 50 Mason Twists with my legs actually up in the air. That might be a tall order since I am taking a break around 20-25 now. I think my core is my weakest part (could also be my legs).

Plyo tomorrow, can't wait!
