Day 29 - Shoulder, Biceps & Triceps

This routine would normally not have been extremely hard to complete but because I had a week off with no real muscle work (other than shoveling snow) that made it a little more intense. I can see what they are talking about with the whole "muscle confusion" concept. Even though some of the moves were similar to other routines... it felt like there were muscles being used brand new and it made it harder to due the most reps like I wanted to. Some of the push ups were tough... especially the Plyo/Clap push up... I only could do around 6 or 7 before I need to do them on my knees. Even then I could only do like 2 more... my upper body was wasted at about 3/4 of the way through the routine but I fought through it.

It also probably didn't help that I when to bed around 1am last night so I am exhausted. I am going to try to do a recovery drink. Actually I am doing Slimfast Optima with a banana blended in. I heard that these drinks or chocolate milk is just as good as the more expensive energy or protein shakes.

Need to get to bed ASAP because tomorrow is Plyometrics and I will need all my energy to get through that routine. Hopefully, my chest and arms (which are incredibly weak right now) won't be too sore.
Also, the Ab Ripper routine was tough on my legs in the beginning where you have to hold your legs up for extended periods of time. I still struggle with that but it was getting better until the week of inactivity as far as abs are concered. I guess shoveling is core work but not as good.
